February 2010 March 2010The Law of Action
When we think about the Law of Action what comes to our minds? The first thing that comes to my mind is a quote Nike used, “Just Do It.” Don’t think about it, don’t stress about it, simply get to it. We tend to analyze things until there is nothing left, we find millions of excuses for why we shouldn’t do it, and then we end up sitting on it, and an opportunity passes us by.
When the thought, “I’ll do it tomorrow” comes to my head, immediately I follow that thought, with this one: “Why put things on hold ‘til tomorrow when I can do them today.” And, I take action.
I would like to talk about the difference between excuses and reasons. Many of us mistake an excuse for a reason. For example, “I can’t practice running because I’m too busy” is an excuse. “I can’t practice running because I broke my leg” is a reason. Fear is one of the biggest excuses out there. The more you rely on fear, the less power you have in your life.
Don’t let fear stop you from reaching your goals, from living your dreams. I think fear is a constant companion of mine, but I refuse to give it power. I do all the things I want in my life. I’ve found that with time, fear is just there, but it no longer affects my decisions.
Another thing I want to talk about here is opportunities. We come across countless opportunities in life. I used to think that I needed to catch every opportunity that came across my path. Maybe this is because I was taught that you shouldn’t waste opportunities, and that if you waste one, you might not ever get another. These statements come from belief of scarcity, from a place of judgment and unloving Universe. All of them are false.
Since then I’ve learned that we have countless opportunities surrounding us daily. We have a choice to grab them or not. I’ve learned that I have a right to be selective of what I want to take on. I still have plenty of opportunities, but now I take a short moment to evaluate each one of them. Then I decide whether I want to take the opportunity, and if I do, I start running with it.
Once you’ve made a decision, it is important for you to take action and keep moving forward, no matter how little the step might be. A million little steps will amount to a quantum leap.
Until the next posting, I urge you to take this week and be mindful of your behavioral patterns. Notice whether you tend to procrastinate or whether you take action in your life, making things happen, being an active co-producer of the movie called, “My Life.” Make sure you record the evidence so that you can go back to it whenever you need encouragement. E-mail me to let me know what the outcomes are. If you have any questions, send them my way and I will do my best to answer them all.
Have a fabulous week. posted by Universal Healing Inc. @ 6:13 AM
